公益社団法人 日本サーフィン連盟（NSA）は、ロサンゼルス2028オリンピックに向けて発表されたサーフィン競技の新たな予選制度について、複数の出場経路が明確に示されたことを前向きな進展として歓迎します。

本制度では、WSLチャンピオンシップツアー、ISAワールドサーフィンゲームズ（WSG）、大陸別大会など、複数の出場経路が整備されました。単一の結果に依拠するのではなく、継続的なパフォーマンスや適応力、総合力を評価する枠組みが示されたことは、世界中のサーファーにとって、より開かれた挑戦機会の拡充を意味するものです。

Statement on the LA28 Olympic Surfing Qualification System

The Nippon Surfing Association (NSA), as a Public Interest Incorporated Association and the National Federation (NF) for surfing in Japan, welcomes as a positive development the newly announced qualification system for the surfing competition at the Olympic Games Los Angeles 2028, in which multiple qualification pathways have been clearly established.

Under the new system, several distinct qualification routes have been structured, including the WSL Championship Tour, the ISA World Surfing Games (WSG), and continental events. Rather than relying on a single result, the framework recognizes sustained performance, adaptability, and overall competitive excellence. This approach represents an expansion of open and accessible opportunities for surfers around the world.

The diversification of pathways to the Olympic Games contributes not only to enhanced competitive fairness but also to stronger representation across nations and regions. NSA recognizes the emphasis placed on balance and transparency in the design of this system as an important step forward.
